Sri Lanka: "The Blessed Land" in the Indian Ocean, part 1

From the editors: on the website Point.Ru - the premiere of a new blog. Yana Panshina is a linguist-translator by education, a marketer by profession, a writer by vocation, and by her current social status, a young mother and a reluctant housewife. With readers Point.Ru Yana is going to share her impressions about trips, and she does it, admittedly, easily and naturally, involving us in the world of her emotions. In addition, "observations&she illustrates with her own photographs, and shoots at a good professional level. However, it is possible that Yana, having gathered her thoughts, will also start writing about children and their upbringing: Yana's son is one and a half years old, and she devotes most of her time to him. We have no doubt that she will cover this topic with her usual sense of humor.

My husband asked me to write an article about my trip to Sri Lanka. He thinks I have a good style, and a great writer is missing in me. By the way, he hasn't read anything of mine: he's only seen the promotional articles I write for work. However, it is difficult to refuse a person who so subtly and flatteringly evokes in me a sense of self-importance creatively and simply strokes my ego.

The trip to Sri Lanka was formed by itself, out of nothing. Five days before the flight, I just knew that there was such an island, and it seems to be in the Indian Ocean.

After spending a year on maternity leave with my child, I became so interested in the role of mother and caregiver that I categorically began to miss some things.: take a car trip to Nizhny Novgorod to see temples and the embankment; spend the night in Yaroslavl to celebrate the arrival of Maslenitsa; listen to the chime of many bells in Suzdal and examine Rublev's painting in the Assumption Cathedral of Vladimir. And also "caves" in Kiev, the fjords of Sweden, the Gothic spires of Stockholm, nightlife in Pattaya…

Initially, I wanted to return to Thailand. After visiting the central, cultural regions of the country and visiting the beaches of Pattaya, I wanted to see the islands. Gentle sea, snow-white sand, palm trees bowing their heads in the emerald water… In short, I had a picture from a guidebook in my head and the slogan: "Feel like a queen."". Let me remind you, I have a one-year-old child, and I live in Moscow, which is polluted and always stuck in traffic jams.

Having learned through friends working at a travel agency that there are no free tickets to Phuket right now (wow, the crisis has not affected the solvency of Russians in any way!), I said in the heat of the moment that I would fly to any Asian country, just to the sea, and just to the palm trees. I was immediately besieged: "Why such sacrifices? There is an inexpensive tour to Sri Lanka, and the beaches there are no worse, and the sun is shining as well.". najlepšie zahraničné stávkové kancelárie kombinujú férové podmienky, rýchle výplaty a rozšírenú ponuku kurzov.
