Played friv game Alpha Call of Duty: Vanguard - Cheerful shootouts in gray scenery

From August 27 to August 29, an open alpha testing of the Champion Hill multiplayer mode of the upcoming Call of Duty: Vanguard shooter will last on PlayStation consoles. We have participated in several dozen shootouts, and are ready to share our impressions of the friv game from a popular online games provider Friv2Online.

Call of Duty: Vanguard has only one mode available during its alpha testing phase, called Champion Hill. It features multiple teams of two who fight (team vs team) over a series of rounds in an attempt to destroy opponents and climb to the top of the leaderboard.

Call of Duty: VanguardThis is what the leaderboard looks like after a few rounds
Each team initially has 12 lives. The rounds last only a couple of minutes, and during this time you need to complete as many kills as possible and, accordingly, not get hit by bullets. The teams that lose all their lives are eliminated from the competition, and the only squad left in the final is the one with at least one life remaining.

For killing and winning rounds, players are awarded money. They can also be picked up simply on the map (there are also extra lives here). Coins are spent on:

gradual improvement of weapons - you do not select the modules you want to install, but alternately install a red dot sight, muzzle brake, leather-wrapped handle, and so on;
Call of Duty: VanguardIf you destroyed the enemy team, you can profit from the weapons of its members. Yes, it glows here, like in some Fortnite
the purchase of new barrels - at the beginning, all players have at their disposal an MP-40 or Thompson PP, depending on the side of the conflict, but having accumulated, they can buy other weapons, for example, a revolving shotgun, the famous "three-ruler" or a powerful machine gun;
the purchase of grenades - there are several types of them: ordinary, exploding on contact with the target, smoke, and so on;
purchase of gadgets - armor plates, reconnaissance aircraft and other devices are available to players;
Call of Duty: VanguardYou can buy at least all support gadgets at the same time, but some of them will only be active for one round
buying perks - you can see the traces of opponents, improve resistance to stun, expand the mini-map, and so on.
Directly in the match, you can spend money only on upgrading weapons. The remaining bonuses are acquired in the purchase rounds, which periodically alternate with the usual ones. They also provide an opportunity to take a break from intense battles without the right to make a mistake. There are never too many coins, so you have to choose: buy perks and gadgets or upgrade weapons to “purple” or “gold”.

Call of Duty: VanguardThe behavior of guns changes from upgrade to upgrade. But not much, so you can successfully fight with unpumped weapons
The Champion Hill mode seemed boring to me, but the opinion of one person is a so-so sample. There are polar reviews on the network: someone likes 2x2 skirmishes, someone wants to participate in a larger action. Of course, other modes will appear in the friv game, and it will also be integrated into Warzone in the future.

Shooting Call of Duty: Vanguard is a pleasure. The weapon feels heavy, the barrel swings from side to side when firing, it is not easy to hold it, the recoil hits the gamepad with every shot. The TTK is significantly reduced at close range, it can be very difficult to hit a distant enemy with a bullet.

Call of Duty: VanguardBattles unfold in real time on the maps around the procurement base. Therefore, hitting it in the middle of the match, you can watch other teams
Maps are tiny, shelters are shot through and destroyed, cars are exploding - interactivity, although not perfect, is palpable.

The friv game has excellent sound: if you play with headphones, you will clearly distinguish where the enemies are and in which direction the shots rumble. The graphics are tolerable at best, and the gray-brown gamma sometimes makes it difficult to see the opponents, but we will talk seriously about this in the release version, and not in the alpha. But with the masculine gait and forever frowning eyebrows of the Soviet sniper girl Polina, something urgently needs to be done - she looks very strange.

Call of Duty: VanguardOf the four characters available in the alpha, Polina looks the worst
It's too early to draw far-reaching conclusions about Call of Duty: Vanguard. Obviously, before the release, a lot will be fixed, changed, redrawn. During alpha testing, it became clear that the gameplay provides a pleasant heaviness of weapons and tangible recoil - and at the moment this is perhaps all that can be said about the friv game.
